Crafting Fun with Popup Cards

Hello everyone! I’m so excited to share a beautiful Popup Card with you today. I absolutely love making Popup Cards! They add a special touch to any occasion. For this card, I used some fantastic supplies from Magengo Designs: the Cheesy Celebration Stamp Set, the Polka Dots Delight Stencil, and the Popup Happy Birthday Die Cut Set.

Step-by-Step Guide to Creating Your Popup Card

Materials You'll Need

Before we dive into the fun, let’s gather our materials! Here’s what you’ll need:

• Cheesy Celebration Stamp Set

• Polka Dots Delight Stencil

• Popup Happy Birthday Die Cut Set

• Distress Oxides

• Water

• Black Cardstock

Creating the Background

First, let’s create the background for our card. I used Distress Oxides and a bit of water to achieve a lovely blend. It’s super easy! Just apply the Distress Oxides to your paper, spritz it with water, and watch the magic happen.

Once the background is dry, I wiped the Polka Dots Delight stencil on the front. This adds a fun texture that really makes the card pop!

Stamping and Coloring

Next, I colored the stamps from the Cheesy Celebration set. I love how vibrant they turn out! After coloring, I carefully cut them out. It’s a bit of a labor of love, but so worth it.

Now, arrange the colored stamps on the front of the card. Play around with the layout until it feels just right.

Adding the Popup Element

For the pop-up element, I used the Happy Birthday punch. I dabbed it with yellow Distress Oxides to give it a cheerful look. Once it was ready, I adhered it to the card.

To finish it off, I decorated the pop-up with the remaining colored stamps. It’s all about layering and creating depth!

Final Touches

I also stamped and cut out two sentiments from the set. To make them stand out, I matted them with black cardstock. This adds a nice contrast and makes the sentiments pop!
